I'm happy to announce the publication of ‘Voices from the North: Exploring Sámi People’s Perspectives on Environmental Change and Mental Well-Being’ in Challenges, Volume 15, Issue 30.

Key Highlights:
* Takes a ‘strenght-based approach’;
* Focuses on the nexus between environmental changes and mental well-being in the Circumpolar Indigenous community, particularly the Sámi;
* Explores experiences, perceptions, and resilience factors related to environmental changes;
* Highlights the unique strengths and knowledge of the Sámi people in adapting to these changes.
Intergrating Indigenous perspectives in public health strengthens communities' ability to handle environmental changes and safeguard mental well-being. Valuing and ‘wedding’ diverse views fosters inclusivity, sustainability, holistic health, intergenerational wisdom, ethical stewardship, and innovative problem-solving. By combining different perspectives, we can develop more comprehensive, equitable, and effective solutions to the complex challenges we face today.🌍✨

Special thanks to Pim Martens and Carolyn Stephens (MACantab, MSc, PhD, FFPHM, IFRSM) and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, for their trust and support.
